Anime Vs Real-life: Visiting Real-life location of One Punch Man

The actual real-life location of One Punch Man is Saitama’s apartment. You surely wonder what’s the name of the city where the apartment is located. Saitama’s apartment was the primary residence of Saitama and Genos. This was the apartment Saitama has lived in after getting kicked out of the Crappy Apartment Building, where he used to live in during his hero training before he lost his hair and became an incredibly strong hero.
Saitama initially lived by himself in the apartment building before Genos moved in. The apartment resides in the middle of a ghost town, therefore Saitama is the only resident there. He moved in because it was abandoned, therefore he did not have to pay rent meanwhile Genos pays rent money to Saitama to live there.

Where Is The Apartment Located?
According to the anime, Saitama lives in Z-City. The building that was used as the model exists! The real-life location of One Punch Man is located near Meiji University in the district of Setagaya, Tokyo.
This city is shown on a map in the anime and is located in the top left of the country where Saitama is living. Due to this, many fans first speculated that the real-life location of One Punch Man is located in the area of ‘Saitama’ because of two things. First, the area has the same name as the protagonist and second, in Tokyo the area of Saitama is located in the top left of the city.

However, this was proven to be wrong when the actual apartment that Saitama is living in was found in real life!

How To Get To The Apartment?
The real-life location of One Punch Man is just around the corner from the train station ‘Meidaimae’ so once you have got to the station, you can get there super easily!
Meidaimae is the closest station and can be accessed via 1 train going straight from Shibuya which takes around 8 minutes. The train that you need to get is the ‘Keio Inokashira Line’ heading for Kichijoji. There is a local train (stopping at every station along the way) and an express train (stops at only a few stations). You can get either to the real-life location of One Punch Man by train but we would recommend getting the express as it is much faster!

Some interesting facts on Saitama
His outfit is based off of Anpanman
Saitama’s outfit serves as a tribute to a beloved Japanese children’s character. Anpanman, a superhero with a jelly pastry for a head, starred in a manga that ran from 1973 to 2013, and in an anime that debuted in 1988 and still runs to this day. The show is verified as the Guinness World Record holder for the most characters in an animated franchise, with 1,768 characters appearing on the show and in movies between 1988 and 2009. If you look at One-Punch Man’s outfit you can see that it’s just a color-reversed version of Anpanman.
Saitama’s name comes from the Japanese province where his creator lived
Saitama is a fairly unique and original name. The One-punch Man creator actually named Saitama after the Japanese province where he lives.
Saitama’s exercise routine is fairly difficult for even the strongest ones out there
Saitama works out hard every day, doing a full-body workout in just two minutes. 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups and 10 mile run is all that he needs to break his limits. Have you ever tried to do this EVERY SINGLE DAY? For a normal human, or even an athlete, such a task is quite savage. Your body really needs a certain amount of rest after doing intense training, but Saitama’s training regiment doesn’t even mention taking off-days.
Saitama Reads plenty Of Manga
In Saitama’s apartment, the real-life location of One Punch Man, we can virtually see a bookshelf within the background. It seems that the hero’s manga-reading has something in common with him, thanks to the fact Saitama appears to look at many manga himself. In a flashback to Saitama’s childhood, we can see Mob-Psycho 100.
We hope to discover other fun facts in a possible next season.
