Since 1995, Armageddon has been New Zealand’s biggest annual entertainment event, taking place all over the nation. It is a destination for both young and old geeks, bringing together fans of both classic and contemporary TV and movies, comics, games, cosplay, animation, and more to celebrate all things geek.

Fans from all across New Zealand and abroad gather at Armageddon to socialize with other geeks, meet international media celebrities, voice actors, and comic book artists, try out the newest games, compete in the renowned Armageddon Cosplay Contest, and purchase the newest stuff.

Like other anime conventions(Fan Expo Philadelphia, A-KON, or Etna Comics), Armageddon features a large number of vendors selling anime, collectibles, comics, artwork, games, and more. In addition, it includes electrical and gaming businesses, as well as brand-new Virtual Reality venues, game launches, and demonstrations. The majority of the New Zealand gaming industry presents its newest and most exciting titles at the Auckland event in particular. Armageddon IS… competitions, gaming occasions, musical gatherings, film screenings, and more. For the past 28 years, Wellington, Christchurch, Tauranga, Palmerston North, and Auckland have all experienced Armageddon.

The event will run from the 3rd to the 5th of June 2023 in Auckland Showgrounds from 9 am to 6 pm(Saturday and Sunday) and 9 am to 5 pm Mon

Auckland Winter Photo Times

Note: Guests in photos may not exceed 3 attendees. Within an hour, photos are often ready for collection from the Photo Collection Booth after being printed on-site. Directly from the photographer, additional prints can be purchased for $10 (cash only). Individual selfies will be taken by animation guests during their signing sessions. Along with standard autograph and photo tokens, the Armageddon Token Booth also sells tokens for selfies.
