My Hero Academia is a Japanese anime series based on the manga of the same name by Kohei Horikoshi. An anime adaptation saw daylight in 2016. It is an action-packed and thrilling series that follows the story of Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without superpowers (quirks) in a world where almost everyone has them. Despite being quirkless, Izuku dreams of becoming a hero like his idol, All Might, the world’s greatest hero.
My Hero Academia Episodes
The first season of My Hero Academia consists of 13 episodes, each one filled with exciting action, emotional moments, and character development. The season introduces us to the world of heroes and villains and sets the stage for the rest of the series.
“Izuku Midoriya: Origin,” serves as an excellent introduction to the series and the main character. It shows us Izuku’s struggle with being quirkless and his determination to become a hero despite the odds against him. We also get to see the bond between Izuku and All Might, who becomes his mentor.
The season’s main storyline revolves around the entrance exam for the prestigious superhero academy, U.A. High School. Izuku, along with other aspiring heroes, must pass the exam to become a student at U.A. and fulfill his dream of becoming a hero. The exam consists of various challenges and tests, and the episodes that follow are filled with exciting action scenes as the students face off against each other.
Character Development
One of the highlights of the season is the character development of the supporting cast. Each character has their own unique quirk and personality, and we get to see them grow and evolve throughout the season. From the hot-headed Bakugo to the shy Ochaco, the characters are well-written and engaging, making us root for them in their journey to become heroes.
The season’s finale, “In Each of Our Hearts,” is an emotional and intense episode that leaves us wanting more. It sets up the second season perfectly and leaves us excited to see what happens next.
